BEIT RAFAEL Benevolent Institution, was established by Adina and Shimon Allen in 2012.
It is registered with the Australia Taxation Office as a ‘Public Benefit Institution’ with fully tax deductible (DGR) status.
BEIT RAFAEL is named in honour of Adina’s father, Rafael Birnbaum A”H. Significantly the name RAFAEL is the name of one of G-D’s
four ministering angels, who is specifically charged with the healing of the unwell.
To date, BEIT RAFAEL has assisted hundreds of families. Sometimes a family may only require the apartment for the day,
in other circumstances the apartments are used for weeks or even months at a time.
An additional BEIT RAFAEL initiative is the Medical Shuttle. This vehicle, with an in-built wheelchair facility, assists
community members who require transportation to and from medical treatments and appointments.
A team of trained and dedicated volunteers are available to drive patients at pre-arranged times.
